I cannot believe we are welcoming summer! Even though we didn’t really get snow this year, it has felt like a long time coming to the summer months. I have been obsessing over the newest accessories and trends to finish off the perfect summer wardrobe! There are a ton of accessory trends I’m looking forward to styling and of course, I’ll have a whole fashion trends post coming before you know it! We have a lot of both new and older accessories that are coming into style this upcoming season. Who else loves when trends come back in style? We’re here to chat about all the simple pieces and quiet luxury of our favorite accessories. They are perfect for any summer capsule wardrobe or the girl who loves a pop of color!
Summer Transition Pieces
Firstly, when it comes to accessories, there are endless options. Accordingly, some popular are a bright pop of colorful option or a simpler statement for everyday looks. Of course, bags, sunglasses, scarves and hair accessories are the perfect way to express yourself, as well. Mixed metals in jewelry, wicker and straw bags and seashell or beach inspired accessories are at the top of our list. Furthermore, pieces that will take you from one season to the next, are some of my favorite things! For instance, a pair of shades that are neutral can be worn into your fall collection. Opt out of a suede belt and go for a soft brown or cream that can also transition into the next season and be dressed up for special occasions.
Practicality
Moreover, trends come and go. Materials get wasted and this is not something we want to contribute to. Firstly, it’s best to opt for the items that we know we will actually get wear out of! Particularly, you know yourself better than anyone, and if you want to invest in fine jewelry or try a trend out for the first time, you should do that! Everyone deserves an extra dose of glamour, just go for the things that won’t collect dust in your closet!
Invest in tote bags, nice hoop earrings, a well made straw hat or kitten heels that can be taken from day to night. This is where you might want to stick with neutral shades versus tropical different colors, but if you know you’ll get more than one outfit look from it, I say go for it! Like I always say, you know yourself best and you are in full control of your wardrobe. This is how we express ourselves!
Trends
Finally, there are loads of micro-trends out there and it can feel incredibly overwhelming. New York Fashion Week was a few months ago, and that’s where saw the main content for accessories leading into this summer. I keep statement earrings and necklaces and a lot of which are charm bracelet inspired. Moreover, pearl is back! You know I love the Mother of Pearl specifically and I’ve been seeing it a ton in beach inspired necklaces.
