Tom Brady — who really doesn’t need an introduction but, in case you’ve been living under a rock for twenty years, is a seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback and world-champion watch guy — is reportedly considering a sale of his newly completed mansion on Florida’s infamously exclusive Indian Creek Island.

Brady’s Indian Creek Crib

Sources close to the star say the palatial property at 26 Indian Creek Island Road is being shown to a very select group of potential buyers. While there isn’t an official public listing just yet, bids exceeding US$150 million/A$240 million have already been put forward, underscoring the extraordinary cachet —and cost — of Indian Creek real estate.

Talks around the sale may be off to a quick and ongoing start, but there’s no guarantee a deal will be sealed anytime soon. However, if Brady does choose to sell, it would be a monumental move for the 47-year-old who purchased the roughly two-acre lot for US$17 million in 2020. Since then, he’s transformed the space into a sprawling two-storey waterfront home with a gym and separate cabana, both of which are considered barebones essentials for those looking to join the hallowed ranks of the so-called “Billionaire Bunker.”

The Exclusive Enclave

Indian Creek has quickly garnered a reputation as a heavenly hideaway for the ultra-wealthy, but property values have somehow skyrocketed from their already sky-high baseline since Amazon founder Jeff Bezos began scooping up properties in the area. Since 2023, Bezos has invested more than US$230 million into the island, resulting in renewed attention from the global elite.

Another prime lot on Indian Creek is currently advertised for nearly US$200 million, while the nearby Miami record for the most expensive single-family home belongs to hedge fund titan Ken Griffin — of Dumb Money infamy — who paid close to US$107 million for a Coconut Grove estate in 2022. If Brady’s sale goes through at upwards of US$240 million, it would further cement not only Indian Creek’s reputation. but also that of Florida more broadly, as one of America’s most exclusive and expensive real estate hotspots.

Life After the NFL

Brady, who moved to South Florida after retiring from American football after and long, storied, and unprecendtly successful career, seems keen to keep his business endeavours close to his Indian Creek base. He recently rented office space for his family office in Bay Harbor, a short drive from the home he built on the island. Meanwhile his ex-wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen, owns a home just across the water at 1400 Biscaya Drive in Surfside… handy for those always awkward co-parenting logistics.
