Doubters to Believers: The Klopp Era

Whether you love him or hate him, and whether you love or hate the format (slick, stage-managed sports documentary fodder), it’s difficult not to be intrigued by this month’s upcoming Klopp documentary.

Charting the final six months of his Liverpool tenure, the four-part documentary will be the fly-on-the-wall, behind-the-scenes formula we know so well yet continue to watch anyway. “You either never stop, or you stop too late,” Jurgen says in the trailer. Nobody tell Pep.

Available on Amazon Prime from 28 February

Porte Noire Cognac VSOP

There was a lot of celebrity-fronted booze doing the rounds when we included the debut champagne from Idris Elba’s Porte Noire last year, and we were pleased to hear our recommendation went down well.

Now Portre Noire is back with its debut spirit, a cognac VSOP, the first time esteemed French spirits brand Maison Ferrand has developed a cognac for another business.

Creamy, with hints of coconut, spice and oak, enjoy it neat over ice or in a Sidecar.

Páramo Aspira 360° Smock

Props to outdoor brands that want to do the right thing. It’s comforting to know that the jacket you’re wearing is not only doing the job you bought it for but also setting something of a standard for circular production. And Páramo is doing just that with its 360° collection.

Its performance-enhanced Aspira smock uses chemically-recycled polyester made from post-consumer and textile industry waste, with ethical production providing fair wages and life-changing skills and training for the people making it.

Loewe x On Cloudtilt LOEWE 2

Loewe x On is available this month, and it’s one of the more handsome trainers we’ve seen recently in a world of never-ending collaborative sneaker drops. On has cemented itself as a household name and a luxury take on the Cloudtilt looks good on them.

The limited-edition ‘all-day walking shoes’ combine Swiss engineering with Spanish craftsmanship, are available in a variety of colourways, and pack in that trademark bouncy comfort.

Xpeng Aeroht

We teased CES 2025 last month, and it did not disappoint. There was loads of new consumer tech, from TVs to handheld gaming consoles—all very nice. But the standout? This extremely futuristic travel option from Chinese aerospace startup Xpeng.

The company’s ‘modular flying car’, which makes it sound more IKEA than Bladerunner, appears to combine a Tesla Cybertruck-style vehicle with a personal transport drone. The eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicle tucks snugly into the back after each flight and manned flight tests have already taken place.

It’s a cool vision of the future of personal transportation, nonetheless.

Uskees

We’ve got a soft spot for Manchester-based brand Uskees. The makers of colourful workwear staples (and other assorted bits, including ties, socks and strangely, toolboxes) know how to knock out a decent drill cotton two-piece at an affordable price. And from our experience, we know the pieces will take a beating and last a while.

When the garment lifecycle inevitably ends, Uskees does what it can to make the most of what’s left, whether through its free repair service or buy-back schemes. With that, on top of second-hand resell and deadstock fabric schemes, they’re a brand worth checking out.

Birkenstock Tokio II

We love a Birkenstock, so we’re pleased to see an upgrade on the world’s favourite clog with the newly released Tokio II suede pack, which sees both suede and nubuck additions getting adjustable back straps for added footbed security and comfort.

Presumably aimed at those who struggle to keep them on their feet (guilty), the functional upgrades see the addition of soft suede and nubuck backstraps in various colours, including Black, Taupe, Stone Coin and Antique White.

Jil Sander Olfactory Series 1

The debut Jil Sander fragrance range is here and channels the brand’s trademark minimalism in six unisex scents designed by five of the most talented emerging and established international perfumers, all under the guidance of creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier.

The scents range from the woody and spice-forward Smoke to the fresh, zesty citrus of Leaf, with an artisanal approach that stretches even to the small random imperfections that make each of the bell-shaped glass bottles unique.

Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA

A century of photographic brilliance deserves celebration, and this year marks 100 years since the release of the Leica I. Leica is celebrating its legacy and ushering in a new one this month with a programme of cultural highlights, prestigious exhibitions and exclusive product launches.

The launch that has caught our eye is the Leica M11 100 YEARS OF LEICA, an anniversary edition of the classic rangefinder camera. Available in six country-specific versions, each in a limited 100-unit run, the cameras will be highly sought-after and rare additions to the brand’s already coveted collection.
