While they’ve been a staple within skatewear for years, Dime MTL has recently picked up the regularity of their sneaker collaborations. Almost every one of their seasonal deliveries has come close to some co-branded footwear option stretching back to 2023, and zooming further in, adidas is among their most consistent partners over that span. That effort aligns well with the Three Stripes’ renewed efforts in the vertical, and the overlap between each imprint’s aims continues with their latest, the Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV.
Aesthetically, Dime’s skate shoe efforts have tended towards simplified aesthetics, usually deploying pretty standard colorways even if they took more significant swings compositionally (look to their June 2024 Stan Smith capsule for a solid example). That logline continues for the Dime Gazelle ADV, easily clocked at first glance with a blacked-out profile that comprehensively coats the leather build. The slight exceptions come with the forecasted material changes, highlighted by replacing the Three Stripes with parallel rows of six silver studs each, a refined touch matched by metallic co-branding towards the collar and on patent leather heel badges.
Curiously, the Dime adidas Gazelle ADV began releasing at partnering retailers far before the Montreal imprint officially teased the shoe — select skate outlets still have sizes remaining from their preliminary launches. However, the official release of the shoe is expected on March 1st via Dime channels, with an adidas rollout likely to follow. Regardless of where you pick up your pair, a retail price of $110 will await.
