Before taking the stage at the 2025 Oscars for her highly anticipated performance, Doja Cat was in feline form this evening with a bold red carpet moment.
You truly never know what you’re going to get from Doja—her style shifts as quickly as her music genres. One minute she’s avant-garde and experimental, the next she’s serving pure old Hollywood glamour. Tonight, she went with the latter, and I have to say, it was a winning choice.

Wearing a custom Balmain strapless gown with a deep neckline and intricate leopard embroidery, this design was based on a Pierre Balmain Haute Couture dress from 1953—the same collection that inspired Elle Fanning’s Golden Globe Awards gown earlier this year.

Her look completed by Messika jewels, this was a surprisingly refined moment for Doja.
