Anna Wintour Wore Givenchy Haute Couture To Le Grand Dîner Du Louvre

Anna Wintour in Chanel Haute Couture is as predictable as the sunrise, but for Le Grand Dîner Du Louvre, the Vogue editor threw us a couture curveball—stepping out in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture look by Sarah Burton.

Wearing a Givenchy Haute Couture black cashmere coat over a silk blush gown, both embroidered with delicate rambling roses and swallows in satin stitch, Anna stayed true to her signature polished aesthetic while giving us a rare departure from her usual Chanel uniform. Naturally, her ever-present sunglasses, a statement necklace, and her go-to Manolo Blahnik sandals completed the ensemble.

For those who weren’t completely sold on Elle Fanning’s Givenchy look at the Oscars, consider this the official stamp of approval. Anna’s choices have a way of setting the tone for what’s to come, and this quiet yet powerful Givenchy moment feels like a well-placed nudge to Sarah Burton’s direction.

These subtle style teases have me counting down the days until Givenchy’s Fall 2025 show on Friday, March 7—the grand debut of Sarah Burton as the house’s new artistic director. If Anna’s endorsement is anything to go by, we could be in for something major.
