Nike Pegasus Plus 2024 Release Date

The Nike Pegasus series is poised for a historic year of innovation off the strength the Pegasus 41, which boasts ReactX Foam and Zoom Air at both fore-foot and heel, and the Pegasus Premium, a jaw-dropper that features the first-ever sculpted full-length Zoom Air inside ZoomX Foam.  If you’re already excited, it might be too much to handle because Nike has a third model in the 2024 Pegasus line-up — the Pegasus Plus.

There was no mention of the Pegasus Plus model in Nike’s On Air presentation in Paris or any of their recent press releases. That said, we can assume the Pegasus Plus lands somewhere in-between the Pegasus 41 and Premium in terms of cushioning platforms, so we’ll do our best to break down the new model based on the five colorways revealed here.

Off the bat, there’s a clear connection to be made with 2018’s Zoom Pegasus Turbo. In fact, the connection is made obvious. “Pegasus Turbo” is featured at the forefoot of the bottom soles, while the year of the iconic running shoe’s release (2018) is printed behind the tongue. It’s twp signature visual features are the thick racing stripe that spans toe to heel and the enlarged Swoosh that dips into the midsole; both returns on the Pegasus Plus — the stripe via an additional fabric embroidered onto the Flyknit upper.

The cushioning platform is what set the Pegasus Turbo apart from the rest. It debuted ZoomX to the masses, and it appears to be the chief technology here in this updated Pegasus Plus form. It’s possible that Zoom Air pods could be somewhere within the Foam, but we’ll have to wait for an official specs breakdown from Nike to learn about the finer details. Additionally, given how the Air Max Plus introduced the newly Tuned Air cushioning unit, the Pegasus Plus could boast its own tuned ZoomX unit that features a unique foam layout.

Release date information hasn’t been provided either, but with five different women’s colorways emerging already, we can expected these sometime in this Summer alongside the launch of the Pegasus 41.
