What inspired your decision to move on from your previous business and pursue a new path?

I was inspired to move on from my previous role at Junior Style as I had been on a journey of self-discovery and, during this transformational journey, I realized that I wanted to help support other women like me, to transform their lives and businesses. I had struggled with my health due to being diagnosed with Long Covid in early 2021 and not long after I was also diagnosed with ADHD. I had also started to struggle in my business during that time, most probably down to having ADHD, and I could see how in the past I had been struggling to wear the many ‘hats’ one wears when you have your own business and a family to take care of. After my ADHD diagnosis, I went on a long journey of self-discovery.

I trained to become a certified business coach and consultant and am also a well-being coach. Through my experience, I have developed the skills to support women in restoring balance, finding clarity and achieving success in their personal and professional lives, without sacrificing their well-being. I hope that by sharing my journey it inspires others that it is never too late to pursue another career, after all, I changed careers at 50!

How does your new venture differ from your previous business in terms of goals and approach?

In my new venture, my primary goal is to empower women business owners overwhelmed by work-life demands. Unlike my previous business, which focused on general consulting services, my approach now involves personalized weekly coaching, mentoring, and business consulting sessions. I also specialize in mindset training, confidence-building techniques, and work-life balance strategies. This targeted approach allows me to provide holistic support which, goes beyond mere strategy and planning, enabling women to transform their lives and businesses simultaneously.

What challenges have you faced in transitioning from your previous role to your current one?

Transitioning from my previous role to my job as a coach presented its fair share of challenges. One of the main obstacles was redefining my expertise and niche within the coaching industry. It required me to reassess my skills, knowledge, and experiences to align them with the specific needs of women business owners. Additionally, establishing credibility in a new field has been a challenge as I need to build trust with potential clients who are unfamiliar with my coaching services. However, through perseverance, and continuous learning, I have overcome challenges and had a successful transition

How do you envision your new venture evolving over the next few years?

Over the next few years, I envision my new coaching practice expanding its reach and impact. I aim to establish myself as a go-to coach and mentor for women entrepreneurs, offering transformative support to a wider audience. One of my goals is to create a thriving community of empowered women business owners who can inspire and support each other on their entrepreneurial journeys.

I am also studying Nutrition and will soon qualify as a nutrition consultant as my long-term goal is, to be able to help support women using a more holistic approach. Many see the Mind and the Body as separate entities, but they are very much connected. Strengthening the connection can help reduce stress and anxiety, promote better quality sleep, help regulate your emotions and much more! By using a more holistic approach when working with my clients I will be able to support all aspects of their well-being, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health so that they can create balance and harmony in all areas of their life

Can you share any insights or lessons learned from your time running your previous business that you are applying to your new venture?

Absolutely! One key insight I gained from running my previous business is, the importance of prioritizing work-life balance. I witnessed first-hand how neglecting personal well-being can lead to burnout and hinder business success. This realization has driven me to incorporate work-life balance strategies into my coaching approach, ensuring that, my clients prioritize self-care alongside their business goals. Additionally, I learned the value of building strong relationships with clients based on trust and open communication. These lessons have shaped my current venture where fostering a supportive and empowering environment, is at the core of what I do.

How do you stay inspired and innovative in the kids fashion and lifestyle industry?

As a Transformation Coach for women business owners, my expertise now lies primarily in supporting entrepreneurs in various industries rather than specifically in the kid’s fashion and lifestyle industry. However, I believe that staying inspired and innovative in any field requires continuous learning, networking, and keeping up with industry trends. By attending conferences, reading industry publications, and engaging with other professionals, I ensure that I stay informed about the latest developments in different industries. This knowledge allows me to offer valuable insights and strategies that can be applied across various sectors, including the kid’s fashion and lifestyle industry.

However, I think that it is also important for me as a coach, to continue my personal development journey, so as I grow, my clients grow with me. This is what helps to keep me inspired and motivated. I also practice yoga, love walking, ensure that I have a great self-care routine, read books on mindset, spirituality and self-development and I love learning new modalities that I can share with my clients to help them move forward in their lives so that they can flourish.

What sets your new venture apart in the market?

I feel what sets my coaching practice apart is that I address both the personal and professional aspects of my client’s life and, by doing so I provide a comprehensive support system that helps women achieve success in life and work without sacrificing their well-being. This holistic approach sets my new venture apart and resonates with women seeking a transformative experience.

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the kids fashion and lifestyle industry?

Firstly, it is essential to conduct thorough market research to understand current trends, customer preferences, and potential gaps in the industry. This knowledge will help them to identify unique selling points and opportunities for innovation. Additionally, building strong relationships with suppliers, designers, and retailers can contribute to success in this competitive field. Finally, stay adaptable and open to learning as the industry is constantly evolving. Embrace creativity, keep an eye on emerging trends, and be willing to adapt your strategies accordingly.

How do you see the kid’s fashion and lifestyle industry evolving in the next decade?

I feel that we will see an increased emphasis on sustainable practices, ethical sourcing, and inclusivity. The industry’s future holds exciting possibilities for innovation and positive change

Are there any specific trends or developments in the industry that you find particularly exciting or promising?
