Yesterday was a thrilling day for US Women’s gymnastics — Team USA won the gold medal in the team competition handily, thanks to the fact that the team is quite simply, overall, extraordinarily strong. It was a blast! (The Drinks With Broads chat was aflame.) But there was more good news: A very strong Italy got silver, their first gymnastics medal of any sort in NINETY SIX YEARS, and an excellent Brazilian team took the bronze, their first team medal ever. HOORAY FOR EVERYONE! China had a very tough day, on the other hand, but their leotards, at least, are gorgeous? That’s something. Let’s take a look.
