The inspiration for LeBron James’ sneakers have always come from wide-ranging sources. In just the past year, FaZe Clan, Fruity Pebbles and Deion Sanders’ shoes have all been source material for officially released pairs. Jumping back to the early 2010s, that zany atmosphere wasn’t any different. At the height of his signature line, the LeBron 8 v2 “Entourage” paid homage to one of James’ favorite series, and a decade-plus later, that same palette graces his latest cost-minded takedown, the Nike LeBron Witness 8.
Compared to the dominant cobalt shading of the predecessor pair, this pair is a loose interpretation in layout but remains faithful to the palette. Navy sets the foundation, joined by royal blue accenting slicing down the center of the shoe. A great deal of contrast comes in yellow, slicing through the outsole and peeking out from underneath synthetic mesh panels on the Swoosh and LeBron’s lion logo.
Like that original LeBron 8 drop, no overt references to Turtle & the gang appear on this shoe, instead carrying the titular narrative by reflecting the promo materials distributed throughout the show’s run. For collectors who couldn’t snag a pair back in 2011, this takedown model might be a remedy for that hole in your arsenal. Even if you hold no sentiments for the once-HBO smash, the complementary palette here is sure to make a statement on the court.
We project the Nike LeBron Witness 8 “Entourage” hitting shelves & Nike.com in the coming weeks. Expect a $110 retail price upon arrival- you can catch official images just below.
