Lily Collins reveals her favorite outfit from ‘Emily in Paris’ S4 Part 2

In an interview with People on September 10, Lily Collins revealed her favorite outfit from Part 2 of the latest season, hinting at the outfit’s appearance by the end of the installment. “I think there’s an outfit in the two episodes at the end, which was a vintage Alaïa skirt and a white collared shirt with flats and a little scarf,” she said. This time around, the character’s choice of flats seems like a real transition, as Collins pointed out.

The actress continued, “It felt, to me, like a real departure for Emily, and more Italian, more holiday vacation vibes, and more practical running around with flats. It just felt cinematic.” Collins revealed that the inspiration behind her unique looks in the second part is taken from Audrey Hepburn movies. The “Emily in Paris” cast member also looked into two specific movie looks.

Collins said, “[Part] 2 includes the ‘Charade’ look at the top of the mountain, as well as ‘Roman Holiday,’ obviously.” One scene has the actress in a fur coat with a matching hat, and sunglasses, like Hepburn in the 1963 film “Charade.” Meanwhile, the “Roman Holiday” look inspired another scene with her character, Emily, wearing a timeless skirt and a scarf.

Describing the process behind the looks, Collins shared, “And [costume designer Marylin Fitoussi] always tries to draw inspiration, but give it an Emily twist. And so I think, for us, that was exactly what we did. We took images that were so iconic. So it’s important to always have that touch.”

“Emily in Paris” Season 4 Part 2 is available to stream on Netflix. Most recently, the streamer announced the series’ renewal and return for Season 5.
