Angelina Jolie attended the Headline Gala screening of ‘Maria’ at the Royal Festival Hall during the London Film Festival this evening, and while many might have anticipated a high-glamour look akin to her Venice, Toronto, or New York appearances, she opted for something entirely different.
Swapping gowns for a suit, Angelina donned a three-piece black tuxedo from Dolce & Gabbana’s menswear collection. It was a bold move, and while some might have expected more traditional red carpet glamour, Angelina reminded us that she plays by her own rules.
The tuxedo, complete with leather ankle boots, was a striking choice, though the length of the trousers felt slightly off. However, this might have been more a result of the boots creating an illusion than a true tailoring issue. Either way, the length didn’t detract too much from the overall look.
Was this tux what I envisioned for such a significant London premiere? Not exactly. But Angelina’s ability to fully own the look is undeniable. She brought her signature grace and elegance, proving once again that she can make even the most unexpected red carpet choices feel effortlessly chic. Her decision to pair the ensemble with simple yet impactful gold earrings added a touch of femininity to balance the structured menswear silhouette.
While it might not have been the high-octane glamour many were expecting, Angelina Jolie’s tuxedo was a lesson in understated, powerful style that still leaves a lasting impression.
