This was at the Breeders’ Cup horse race, which was held at the Del Mar racetrack in Southern California — a very pretty track, and quite convenient for Elizabeth Banks, who often attends this event and seemingly did this instead of the LACMA gala. This dress is great, and feels like a perfect nod to Eliza Doolittle at Royal Ascot without going all the way. (I know I advocated for a hat on the homepage but I actually think she was correct to chill with the headgear.) I will note that while, design-wise, I’m not mad at that little torso-hole, in terms of real life, I am concerned that at least one person had too many champagne cocktails and poked her in it. Which seems suboptimal.
