I will always stand by this one phrase: every holiday deserves a special set of pajamas in the spirit of family time and unforgettable moments. There’s something about seeing my kids in matching pajama sets each holiday season that makes me so happy! We have a tradition where we get brand new ones each year. Then we watch Christmas movies in them together and bake something festive. Family Christmas pajamas are the most ideal but as the kids get older it’s not so easy to get them to match in Christmas pjs.
I try to keep it in the Christmas spirit in general so we can all feel festive and hold onto these special moments. The entire family loves to get in on the Christmas morning magic! With classic designs, we’ll be sticking with children’s options for pajamas to get into the festive spirit.
Here are our favorite kids pajamas from the new releases sections this year to get into the holiday spirit this time of year!
Fabric
Firstly, we want the softest option possible for our pajamas collection. Henceforth, cozy pajamas are a necessity and the scratchy ones just will not do! I find that my kids sleep better when they are in comfortable pajamas. It’s not enough for them to have festive prints. They need to have a pajama party in something that is actually comfortable to sleep in. Often new arrivals are soft when you buy them and then you wash them and they get rough. So it’s important to pay attention to the material. Go for what you know your kids will enjoy! Holiday cheer comes with sensitive skin still, so we don’t just grab pajamas on sale.
Paying attention to product detail and the highest quality will also allow for better sleep and the utmost comfort. Organic cotton and bamboo viscose fabric are top choices for the winter season. I always think adorable holiday pajamas are a great gift. Luxurious pajamas are always on my list and make a better option for new pajamas! Moreover, comfort over fashion every day, that’s the rule! Once you find a brand of family holiday pajamas you love, I recommend sticking with it for sweet dreams in festive pajamas.
Designs
Secondly, I’m a woman of fashion, the details are the best part of shopping! The holidays have so many pattern options in regards to pajamas, it’s truly endless these days. For instance, you can go for the classic red stripe, santa, dreidels and menorahs for Hanukkah pajamas or Christmas trees for Christmas Eve! Specifically, I really enjoy how all the pajamas are neutral these days, it makes it so much easier to match the kids. It’s a great find when there are a wide range of styles that go beyond holiday-themed sleepwear and make for great pjs for awhile. Although, there’s nothing cuter than kids pajamas with a Christmas tree on them! I find best sellers to have designs that are more than red and green these days. The best pajamas are on the creative side and Black Friday is a great time to stock up on kids Christmas pajamas! The holiday lights, reindeer, Santas and gingerbread man are a few designs we often lean towards.
Matching Pairs
Finally, matching sets are a better way to get dressed for bed quicker than just a random pair of shorts and shirt. More than that, I love finding the perfect Christmas family pajamas to match. While my girls loved wearing nightgowns as little girls, they are starting to outgrow them. They’re into the matching sets these days, which is still fun, but it makes me miss the long john pajama and footie pajama phase. Petite Plume, Gap, Hanna Andersson and Old Navy are our go-to’s for sets lately. You can go for the pullover tops or the button downs. They have a different vibe, one is more vintage and classic and the other is more comfortable and fun. It’s a Christmas tradition to have family matching pajamas for the kids for a long time but for big kids, a different set for each of them on theme will do!
