A special event took place at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California on Nov. 16: a Zendaya double feature including “Challengers” and “Dune: Part Two.” The actress herself was in attendance wearing a chic neutral-toned ensemble set off by a pair of So Kate pumps, her go-to formal shoe.
Zendaya certainly had a busy year starring in two blockbuster films and bringing high fashion looks to both press tours. For the back-to-back screenings showing off her hard work on Saturday, she wore a pair of silky rose gold bell bottom pants which featured a drawstring waist and fold-over pockets. Her ensemble also included a matching beige bandeau and semi-sheer cardigan with three buttons fastened at the top creating a bare-midriff look.
Zendaya’s wide-leg pants allowed the sharp tip of a beige pump to be seen: the unmissable narrow toe of Christian Louboutin‘s So Kate pump, a style the actress has been wearing since she was a young teenager. While she often wore a white version of the shoe while promoting “Challengers,” she slipped on a metallic gold embossed pair for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in October and a black pair while out with Tom Holland later that month.
The So Kate makes a powerful statement not only with a pointed toe but with a steeply arched sole and 120 mm stiletto heel. It is a soaring variation of the Kate style, which Christian Louboutin named for supermodel Kate Moss. Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach recently called the so Kate “the hardest shoe to wear” on Angel Reese’s podcast, telling the WNBA star that he had Zendaya wear them at 13 and her feet eventually adapted to walking in them.
