This is a little inside baseball, perhaps, but usually the photo caption on shots like this simply says that the person is walking in New York City; if they’re filming a movie, it’ll include that, but very rarely does the photographer have actual fashion credits. Yet here we got a whole SLEW of shots of Katie Holmes crossing the street, traversing the sidewalks, stopping to pose, and all of the captions take pains to note she is in “head to toe Cinq à Sept.” And it definitely feels like she’s wearing it in a manner that says, “I followed your instructions to the letter.” Maybe the photographer is a nosy parker (I can relate) and asked and she actually responded, but it feels more like these are some kind of trade-out deal. Which, hey, do what you’ve gotta do; I always assume celebs are given pretty much everything they wear, so if this is a way of declaring it more openly, I appreciate the honesty.
If only she’d also been given better hair extensions, a hot-oil treatment, and some great boots with it. Because…
… with this outfit, those shoes are not it. Total vibe clash. Ironically people always seem to step in it when it comes to the footwear..
