The cast of ‘Nickel Boys’ reunited on the red carpet last night to celebrate the LA premiere at the DGA Theater Complex. Following earlier appearances in London and Rome, Ethan Herisse, Daveed Diggs, and Hamish Linklater stepped out in style, each bringing something different to the table.
A Flare for the Dramatic
Daveed Diggs brought his signature charisma to the red carpet in an AMIRI Resort 2025 checked bouclé double-breasted blazer and loose flare trousers. I love how the sleek black lapels merged seamlessly with his collarless shirt. While his AMIRI MA Tassle Crystal Jumbo loafers disrupt the natural fall of the flares, that would not stop me considering adding this to my BDOTY list. Daveed’s ability to blend modern tailoring with effortless flair is unmatched. He never fails to impress.
A Prada Minimalist Moment
Ethan Herisse has made bold statements throughout the ‘Nickel Boys’ promo tour, but for the LA premiere, he opted for Prada’s clean-lined modern minimalism. The simplicity of his ensemble allowed his quiet confidence to shine through. With such a consistent run of stylish looks, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a fashion ambassador role with a major house in his future.
A Coordinated Couple
Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe arrived as the evening’s picture-perfect pair. Hamish’s shirt and tie mirrored Lily’s ivory Rodarte Spring 2024 dress, suggesting a shared stylist. While previous iterations of this dress—in black on Selena Gomez and in pink on Florence Pugh—featured sequins, Lily’s version stood out for its clean simplicity. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of her chunky platforms, but they work with the dress, and I’m so enamoured by the colour coordination between the couple, that I’m not going to let the shoes ruin my appreciation for this outing.
