The chief running legacy in Nike’s deep history is none other than the Pegasus, a name that has commanded respect in the competitive field of high-performance gear. As one of the best all-around running shoe franchises on the market, the Pegasus has been able to will itself into the lifestyle world as demands for retro style performance shoes still exists at a high level.
With the Pegasus Wave, Nike chose to add some fresher elements to the silhouette, adding an armored mid-foot cage and padded toe-box and heel. Given how these updates accomplish the “tech runner” aesthetic on target a bit better than the Pegasus 2K5, we’re glad to see more Wave colorways hit stores in 2025.
