With the absolute dominance of the adidas Samba over the past few years, the Three Stripes’ lifestyle division has experienced some run-off benefits across other models (something we just covered in detail, by the way). One of the biggest beneficiaries is the adidas Gazelle, similarly composed and boasting the same laid-back appeal. With the adidas Gazelle Indoor “Core/Gum,” the lines blur even further between the two standout models.
It’s largely a one-to-one replication of the adidas Samba OG format- black suede is met with a gum bottom, slight white accents peeking through in the side branding and heel tag. However, it’s not much of a far jump from the Gazelle’s own OG style, essentially just trading a vulcanized white cup sole for the earthy, translucent one seen here. Regardless of the inspiration behind this pair, it’s a timeless use of the classic adidas formula, maintaining the evergreen lifestyle appeal of the Gazelle in the process.
The adidas Gazelle Indoor “Core Black” releases via the adidas website on June 1st in men’s sizing. A $120 retail price is confirmed.
Sticking with the Three Stripes, here’s our latest on Anthony Edwards’ shoes, including the newly unveiled “New Wave” AE1 sample.
