The brand with the 3-Stripes inject some ’90s charm and aesthetics reminiscent of nu-metal band KoRn’s eponymous debut album onto its beloved adidas Originals Superstar – the chosen centrepiece for the third collection between the pairing – excavating familiar details from the ‘Blind’ music video in which frontman Jonathan Davis represented a sleek black and crimson adidas tracksuit.
Nice and nostalgic, this special rendition of the adidas Originals Superstar sees a full-grain leather upper with co-branded 3-Stripes and custom heel panelling. Obviously, the rubberised toe cap features signalling heritage style at the front, while cushioned collars retain the lineage’s trademark comfortable genetics. Underfoot, customised insoles with OG album artwork is underpinned by gum outsoles which ensure gluey traction, while graffiti-esque typography adorns the lateral walls to close shop.
