The Air Jordan 1 will celebrate it’s 40th anniversary in 2025, and next year’s Jordan Release Dates calendar is already jam-packed with compelling deliveries. On top of several standard high and low-tops, Jordan Brand is set to release the ’85 cut in two iconic, original colorways. The Jordan 1 85 Bred has been confirmed for February 2025, and now new information surfaced by @EldenMonitors hints that a Jordan 1 85 “Shadow” is in the works.
Firm details at this juncture include a palette of “Medium Grey/Black-Muslin” and projected Summer 2024 release date, but we’ve yet to see official images at the time of this writing. However, given Jordan Brand’s commitment to making sure modern Retros do right by their original designs – discounting “Reimagined” pairs – we can safely assume the shoes will take after the original 1985 “Shadow” color blocking. As such, the following mock-up by @houseofheat projects a likely outcome.
If things develop as suspected, the Jordan 1 85 “Shadow” will stand as the third true Retro of the original colorway. Jordan Brand released “OG” cuts of the shoe in 2013 and 2018, the latter of which was met with huge demand in the midst of peak Air Jordan 1 hype.
