Paris is a city of great significance to Jordan Brand. Mike made his first trip to the French capital in 1985 and returned as a bonafide legend in 1997 for the McDonald’s Open, a trip that was famously documented in The Last Dance. Following the athlete’s playing days, Jordan Brand opened their first European store, the Jordan Bastille, in Paris in 2016. The Nike affiliate has also gone on to sponsor soccer club Paris Saint-Germain, the Quai 54 street basketball tournament, and the French Basketball Federation at large, cementing an already strong overseas presence.
Now as all the world’s best athletes convene on Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Jordan Brand has predictably pulled out all the stops. In addition to the return of the iconic red, white, and blue Jordan 6 Olympic on August 3rd, the brand is set to release a few other special pairs that tribute the host city, one of them being the women’s Jordan 6 “Pearls.”
Taken with a grey, all-suede upper, the shoes reflect fashionable Parisian aesthetics through pearl lace dubraes; a classy addition to Mike’s sixth signature. Maintaining a fresh, tonal look, the shoes also feature icy blue hits on the tongue and heel Jumpman logos, heel pull structure, and outsole. Taking aim at the podium, the top portion of the midsole works in splashes of gold on the lateral and medial sides.
Consistent with our prior coverage, the Jordan 6 “Pearls” is still set to release on August 7th, 2024 for $200 in women’s sizing. See detailed images of the shoes below and tap our Jordan Release Dates page to preview other upcoming Jumpman deliveries.
Speaking of which, check out the Jordan 4 Wet Cement dropping July 27th; inspired by Parisian streets.
