You’re about to see a whole lot more of Anya Taylor-Joy down at your local newsstand. Given the release of George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, we’ve seen Taylor-Joy splashed across American ELLE, British GQ and Vogue Australia. All of this in addition to dialing up the glamour down on the French Rivera just last month for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Matthew Bedard is the latest editor to drop a cover starring the American-born Argentine-British actress, who joins Paris Hilton as one of Flaunt‘s cover stars for Issue #192. In the recently-revealed cover, Anya poses for famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Dressed by stylist Hunter Clem, the Christian Dior brand ambassador conjures up some old-Hollywood glamour (tenfold) in a look from Berlin-based fashion label Lever Couture and is adorned in jewelry from Tiffany & Co. (another brand to which Taylor-Joy is brand ambassador).
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Facetuned to the gods! have a soft spot for Ellen von Unwerth. She consistently tries to sell conventional glamour and sex appeal. Unfortunately for us, the results (especially in recent years) rarely deliver on that promise,” voiced KoV.
“THE ROOTS!” shrieked forum member upNorth.
“I wonder if Anya Taylor-Joy will become more interesting when she’s older and has had more life experience,” added an underwhelmed blueorchid.
Mepps wasn’t all too fond of the sight of Anya Taylor-Joy either. “Someone should inform Anya and her people, that she doesn’t have to be on the cover of everything, everywhere, all at once. Especially when she has one frozen faced look, in all pictures,” they stated.
Not everyone, however, was left so dissatisfied. “Not an Anya Taylor-Joy fan or an Ellen von Unwerth fan for that matter but I’m a fan of this. I love the whole old-Hollywood screen siren vibe and how just direct and downright gorgeous the cover image is,” admired vogue28.
