Jenna Ortega, Catherine O'Hara, Winona Ryder and Monica Bellucci attend the "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" New York Photo Call

The ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour continues with Jenna Ortega (who we have already talked about) and her co-stars Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, and Monica Bellucci making a striking appearance at the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City on Saturday.

While black might be the expected colour for a film steeped in gothic charm, the photocall proved that each actress has her own distinct style narrative to tell.

A Bold Departure from the Expected

If anyone was concerned that the ’Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour would be a monotonous parade of black ensembles, Catherine O’Hara was there to set the record straight. The legendary actress stood out not just in the literal sense, but with her fearless fashion choice—a leather patchwork, snakeskin print suit from Coperni’s Fall 2024 collection. The suit, in a palette of green, grey, and ecru, was a bold contrast to the otherwise dark hues that might have been expected. Paired with a matching bag and boots, Catherine’s look was a masterclass in how to embrace individuality on the red carpet. Her spirit of rebellion made her outfit refreshingly unique.

Gothic Elegance with a Victorian Twist

Winona Ryder, ever the queen of gothic elegance, took a different approach, channeling a Victorian-inspired aesthetic that felt both haunting and ethereal. Dressed in a black stand collar coat-dress by Elena Dawson, with a contrasting button placket curved in a way that evoked a sense of historical intrigue. Her look was a poetic nod to the past, perfectly in line with her iconic presence in the ‘Beetlejuice’ universe. It was a reminder that fashion can be a storytelling tool, and Winona is a master storyteller.

Classic Chic with Anticipation for Glamour

Monica Bellucci stayed true to her signature style with another Michael Kors Collection suit, accessorized with Cartier jewels and her trademark shades. While the look is undeniably chic and works well for the Italian icon, there’s still lingering sense of anticipation for when Monica finally steps into a full-glam moment. She has been playing it safe so far, and while there’s no denying the sophistication of her chosen ensemble, the promise of a show-stopping premiere look feels tantalisingly close.
