Following the New York premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Blake Lively continued to captivate attention as she headed to the Jazz Center for the after-party.
Let’s be real: last night truly belonged to Blake. As I mentioned regarding her premiere look, she is the undisputed master of the multi-look promo tour, and her choice for the after-party was no exception.
Blake stepped into the venue wearing a Balmain Spring 2024 mini dress, a creation inspired by the Gertrude Stein quote, “a rose is a rose is a rose,” which served as a muse for creative director Olivier Rousteing in this collection.
The dress, adorned with red three-dimensional rose embellishments, was designed to evoke a sense of romance. However, the sharp, structured silhouette gave the ensemble an edgy twist, slightly diluting the intended romantic vibe.
I don’t know about you, but the colour combination didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The stark red roses against the light blue backdrop felt somewhat jarring, losing the essence we saw on the runway. Yet, Blake’s confidence and poise made it work for her.
She completed her look with another pair of Christian Louboutin So Kate heels.
