Cate Blanchett is continuing her stylish “Borderlands” press tour, showing off multiple memorable looks on Aug. 5. While earlier in the day she wore denim and reptile print heels for “Good Morning America,” she later wore a suit with white, green and black Diadora sneakers to appear on SiriusXM.
Blanchett blended sporty and formal fashion sensibilities for her radio press engagement. She wore a plain white T-shirt tucked into black straight-leg pants, which featured a thick white stripe on the side of each leg in a design reminiscent of track pants. She contrasted the T-shirt with a classic black blazer, which contributed a sense of professional refinement to the ensemble; the black and white look was tied together with a unique checkered belt. While walking outside, Blanchett wore white-framed sunglasses which only emphasized her effortless sense of cool.
Blanchett kept with her color scheme but added a bright splash of color with distinctive footwear from the Italian sportswear company Diadora. The actress wore a pair of tri-colored lace-up sneakers featuring white, lime green and black color-blocking. The shoes were designed with a relatively chunky silhouette and a glossy finish, adding a light-catching glint to Blanchett’s ensemble. With a pop of color evoking the “Brat” summer we are currently living through, Blanchett’s look was both on trend and simultaneously true to her distinctive fashion sense.
Diadora recently switched things up in its C-suite, hiring Ryan Eckel, formerly of Tracksmith, to serve as chief marketing officer. Earlier in the year, the company teamed up with Colville to collaborate on a collection utilizing Diadora’s deadstock, with the products including sneakers and a chair.
