Clarks, Netlfix Release ‘Stranger Things’ Collaboration for Adults – Footwear News

Clarks and Netflix have teamed up again to release a Clarks x “Stranger Things” adults collection, to be exclusively sold at Journeys starting on Aug. 29. Similar to the children’s collection from earlier this summer, the collaboration was inspired by the hit Netflix series and its 1980s nostalgia, as well as the show’s beloved characters. The shoes will now be available in adults sizing globally at Journeys.com and in stores.

The two pairs in the adult collection feature design notes honoring the Hawkins High School cast members and the notorious Hellfire Club, created with premium retro-colored materials. The collection will be available in two different silhouettes: the Varsity Torhill and Wallabee Evo.

The Torhill features a paw print on the side to represent the school’s sports mascot, a tiger.

The Torhill celebrates the Hawkins High School’s team spirit using its colors of green and orange, as well as “Stranger Things” embossed stamps and fobs and a tiger print, in honor of the school’s mascot. It also features premium leather uppers, breathable linings and cushioned soles.

The launch of the Clarks x Stranger Things collaboration with Journeys marks the beginning of more upcoming Clarks launches that will be available at the retailer throughout the year. Clarks, is based in Somerset, England, and was founded in 1825, by brothers Cyrus and James Clark when they made a slipper from sheepskin cut-offs. The brand has since become a mainstay thanks to the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950, and the iconic Wallabee, with a unique design that makes them unmistakable.

The first season of “Stranger Things” arrived in 2016, becoming one of Netflix’s most successful original show of all time. The pandemonium for the hit show hasn’t died down ahead of its fifth and final season. Earlier this month the streaming giant faced threats of a leak for the upcoming season, showcasing how in demand new episodes of the show still are. Production for Season Five kicked off in January and the show is expected to return sometime in 2025.
