Cynthia Erivo made a guest appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday, where she discussed her preparation for the role of Elphaba in the eagerly awaited film adaptation of ‘Wicked.’ She also shared insights about the playlist she used to immerse herself in character, as well as details about her upcoming performances at the Stonewall Day concert and ‘A Little Night Music In Concert’ this month.
The British actress chose a typically bold and colourful look from the Emilia Wickstead Spring 2024 collection. This intricately beaded two-piece look, adorned with layers of bugle beads, created an enchanting and dynamic visual effect, capturing attention with every movement.
The choice of colours was particularly meaningful, subtly nodding to both Ariana Grande’s Glinda character, known for wearing pink, and her own green-skinned character, Elphaba.
I know a lot of you don’t want a press tour dominated by green and pink themes, but I have a feeling that is what is going to happen – at least in the early stages.
Cynthia’s look serves as a playful and stylish introduction to this colour scheme, and a vibrant entry point, setting the tone for what I am expecting to be a fun and engaging press tour.
She completed her ensemble with nude Louboutin pumps and her signature accessories.
