Danielle Deadwyler has had one heck of a style weekend, from the NAACP Image Awards to the Film Independent Spirit Awards, and she capped it off at the 2025 SAG Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her performance in The Piano Lesson.
Now, we’re not going to ask the practical questions like “how did she arrived?” or “how she’s going to sit in this custom Louis Vuitton red tulle gown?” Because, honestly, we’re too busy staring in awe at this structural gathered masterpiece. It’s pure artistry, and I’m living for it.
I can just imagine Janelle Monáe punching the air right now, because this is the kind of energy that’s straight out of her awards season playbook. Bold, brave, and unapologetically stunning. The gown’s sheer majesty and intricate structure would be enough to steal the spotlight on their own, but it’s Danielle’s poise and command of the moment that truly elevates it.
Now, some might say the red eyeshadow was a bit much, but I’m all in on the full commitment here, right down to the Louis Vuitton red satin pumps.
This look has definitely earned a spot in her fashion Hall of Fame, alongside her 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards and Producers Guild Awards looks, both also designed by Louis Vuitton. Remember when I said that Nicolas Ghesquière has his favourites? It’s clear Danielle is one of them.
