There are few sights more delightful than David Beckham in a tight pair of boxer shorts, and when I saw these photos from the BOSS ONE Bodywear campaign—shot by the iconic Mert & Marcus—I had to pause. And by “pause,” I mean I needed a good few minutes to just… appreciate.
Let’s be honest: no one does an underwear campaign quite like Beckham. He set the gold standard years ago, and somehow, impossibly, he looks even better now than he did 15 years ago when he first stepped into the world of bodywear modeling. Some people age, and then there’s David Beckham, who seems to defy the very concept.
In a statement about the campaign, Beckham admitted, “I once said that my bodywear modeling days had come to an end, but when BOSS shared their ambition for the range and brought in my good friends Mert and Marcus to shoot the campaign with their brilliant creative ideas, I simply couldn’t refuse.”
And thank the fashion gods that he didn’t.
It’s not just the breathtaking images (which, again, deserve a moment of silence); there’s also a campaign video—also by Mert & Marcus—that is nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece. And yes, I may have watched it more than once… for research purposes, of course.
The new collection includes all the bodywear essentials: trunks, briefs, tank tops, and T-shirts in classic black and white hues, made from a cotton-elastane blend for that perfect fit.
Because confidence begins with the first layer… and so does our collective admiration for Beckham. #BeYourOwnBOSS
