Demi Moore can finally take a little break.
The star attended the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, where she pulled triple duty. Moore has been turning looks for the duration of the event as she’s represented her film “The Substance,” while she’s functioned in her role as Godmother of the Trophée Chopard, and as she’s hosted the much-anticipated amfAR gala. To close the event she went chic and sleek in black, wearing a pair of Celine sandals. “The Substance” won Best Screenplay at the event.
With all of those obligations, Moore has had a packed schedule. She wore a pair of silver stiletto sandals from Aquazzura on the amfAR Gala red carpet, Calipso pink Louboutin pumps for Chopard’s “Once Upon a Time” event, and towering platform stilettos from Louboutin for other events.
Working with stylist Brad Goreski, Moore turned up on the final red carpet in an off-the-shoulder black dress featuring a high slit from Celine. Across the bodice, the dress featured an oversized asymmetrical white bow. As a result of the thigh-high split, the “Feud: Capote vs The Swans” actress was able to show off the sandals.
The shoes are Celine’s “Sharp” style. The open toe sandals feature asymmetrical straps that go up and around the foot before fastening at an ankle buckle. On the back, the shoe features a 4.3-inch razor-sharp heel that is covered in the same leather as the rest of the shoe.
Reese Witherspoon previously wore the shoes this year at the Critics Choice Awards. Dua Lipa also wore them at Cannes last year. The “Sharp” line, and this sandal in particular, were introduced at Celine under the purview of current creative, artistic and image director Hedi Slimane. The line is named for its signature razor “sharp” stiletto. It is viewed as a part of Slimane’s rocker chic-minded ethos.
