Emma Corrin returned to the red carpet for the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ London photocall held at the IET Building, Savoy Place this afternoon, where the weather fortunately stayed dry. Hot on the heels of the premiere, it seems that the common theme for the London leg of this press tour is an abundance of buckles.
Emma’s custom Miu Miu navy dress showcased this trend with a buckle adorning the collar, creating a striking visual impact. And it extended to their footwear, featuring prominently on their boots.
Emma has a knack for pulling off even the most unconventional looks, and their confident presence was on full display in this ensemble. The dress itself, with its tailored fit-and-flare silhouette and buckle accents, exuded a sense of edgy sophistication that aligns well with Emma’s fashion-forward persona.
However, the choice of Miu Miu biker boots added an unexpected twist to the outfit. While these boots play into the villainous character Emma portrays, their heavy, rugged style seemed at extreme odds with the dress. Despite this stylistic clash, Emma’s confidence carried the look to a certain extent, making it work in a way that few others could.
That said, the biker boots didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While Emma can indeed sell just about anything, it was not to be the case with these boots. Nonetheless, I was relieved that they opted for biker boots over cowboy boots, which would have felt even more out of place.
