Monica Barbaro stunned fans with her captivating appearance at the SAG Awards 2025. The “A Complete Unknown” actor, who received a nomination in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category, exuded elegance and glamor at the star-studded event, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, in Los Angeles.
Besides the striking bright red gown from Christian Dior, another big highlight of Barbaro’s look was her flawless soft and dewy makeup. MUA Samantha Lau, the creator behind this look, shared all the details about how she achieved this makeup look for Barbaro on Instagram.
Monica Barbaro went with L’Oréal for skin prep as well as makeup
Monica Barbaro’s makeup artist Samantha Lau revealed how she created the actor’s alluring makeup look for the 2025 DAG Awards. In the caption of the Instagram post, Lau wrote, “For Monica’s makeup, I created a soft sultry eye paired with radiant, glowing skin.” The artist further disclosed that she used L’Oréal products for both skin prep and makeup for the actor.
To achieve the soft and dewy evening look, Samantha Lau prepared Monica Barbaro’s face with the Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum from L’Oréal Paris. The makeup artist also applied the brand’s Revitalift Derm Intensives Micro Hyaluronic Acid + Ceramides Line Plumping Water Cream.
For Barbaro’s skin, the L’Oréal Paris products, Lau used, included Lumi Le Glow Tint in 210 Neutral and Infallible Full Wear Concealer in 370 Biscuit. The list also had the Lumi Le Liquid Blush in 601 Dewy Worth It & 630 Glowy True Rose blush. L’Oréal Paris’ 24H Fresh Wear Bronzer in 350 Medium was also used.
The makeup artist further applied the brand’s Infallible Blur-Fection in 20 Translucent Light powder on the skin. She also used the Lumi Le Glass Highlighter Stick in 610 Glassy Pearl Éclat. For Barbaro’s eyes, Lau used the Le Shadow Stick in 115 Twinkly Rose and 420 Brown Bliss from L’Oréal Paris. The artist then used the Infallible Gel Mechanical Liner in 220 Brown Denim on the eyes. After that, she applied the Paradise Big Deal in 775 Blackest Black mascara. The Brow Stylist Definer in 389 Brunette and Infallible Brows Brow Lamination in 0.0 Gel Transparent were also used.
As for Monica Barbaro’s gorgeous lips, the makeup artist first applied L’Oréal Paris’ Colour Riche Lip Liner in Beyond Pink. She then applied the Colour Riche Lipstick in the shades 601 Worth It & 752 Classic Wine. Lau used the brand’s Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist as the setting spray for this look.
