Lorne Michaels had QUITE a turnout among alumni, even some who were only on the show for a season; this isn’t everyone, because again, there are so many; the men in particular can become a blur of suits. Plus, Tim Meadows and Bill Murray didn’t walk the carpet that I saw, Dan Aykroyd doesn’t seem to have attended, and then of course there are some tragic absences. Phil Hartman, Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, Jan Hooks, and John Belushi, and of course Gilda Radner, all gone too soon. Honestly, there was something quite emotional about seeing all the legendary names and faces who’ve been through 30 Rock, and contributed to FIFTY YEARS of a legacy. I got goosebumps thinking about what it must mean to them to be part of something so huge.
