Even as he rolls on in his 16th season in the NBA, James Harden still knows how to make an entrance. When unveiling his Harden Vol. 9 just hours before this writing, he showcased that penchant for the flashy once again, pulling up to the Intuit Dome with a matching supercar for the shoe’s “Silver Metallic” colorway. Though the official news is still extremely fresh, The Beard and adidas Basketball are striking while the iron is hot, now pulling back the curtain on exactly what to expect for the silhouette over the next quarter.
As seen above, the two partners showcase six pairs of the shoe, including three, the “Metamorphosis,” “Hell Cat” and “Ice Metallic” previously unreported on our publication. Though chiefly serving to make this announcement rather than give detailed looks at any of them, the shot of all six colorways stacked up reveals some slight material tweaks from one to the next, particularly noticeable wiht the fabric peeking through the black & red look versus the mesh underpinnings of the white and ice blue.
Much the same as he did for the Harden Vol. 8 in its early days, Harden spells out the release dates for each of the shoes in this showcase. After ticking off the China exclusive “Year of the Snake” the day after Christmas, adidas will deliver a monthly edition on a monthly basis, dropping a look about every fourth Saturday through Q2.
While this attaches formal names to many of these pairs, we already knew about quite a few of them via official images. Check out detailed shots of each of those looks ahead, the “Year of the Snake,” “Cyber Metallic,” and “Pearlized,” along with “Where To Buy” sections that’ll contain direct purchase links once their release dates (eventually) roll around.
