On Running brought the celebrities out to Brooklyn for a night of tennis on Wednesday. The brand, which was created by athletes for athletes, set up shop at the Brooklyn Naval Yard and had players like Ben Shelton, Noah Johnson, Flavio Cobolli, and Mia Regan play a few rounds of tennis on the On Clubhouse Nights branding courts.
The matches were hosted by “How Long Gone” podcast hosts Chris Black and Jason Stewart. Afterward, the court became a dance floor with DJs Yaeji, Memphy, Young Teesh, and Oscar Nñ on the boards. The guest list was also nothing to shake a racquet at. Solange Knowles’ son and Beyonce’s nephew, Julez Smith, turned up in a graph T-shirt and what appeared to be a pair of dusty black work boots.
One of the dancer’s from Beyonce’s Renaissance tour, Honey Balenciaga, was also there wearing a pair of slouchy, over the knee boots. The boots were paired with black leather trousers and a sparkly beaded top with oversized sunglasses.
History-making former Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson was also in attendance wearing a pair of horsebit platform Gucci shoes. As was Alex Consani, who recently made history as the first trans person to ever be nominated for Model of the Year.
“Gossip Girl” star Thomas Doherty was also in attendance, wearing an all black two-piece satin-like ensemble. He opted to go shirtless, showing off his bare chest.
The event celebrated the U.S. Open and is the latest splashy effort On Running has made this year. Earlier this summer, fresh off the tennis-inspired press run for her film “Challengers,” Zendaya was announced as a new face and partner of the brand.
Since the announcement, the pairing have released a series of videos on social media. In one of the promotional clips, she appears with Roger Federer, an investor and face of the brand. In another, viewers tag along with Zendaya and her team in Paris during the Olympics.
