Kim Petras stood out in a vibrant, retro-inspired look as she arrived back at her hotel in New York City on Wednesday.
The German singer-songwriter donned a bright, candy-apple red boucle coat and a matching mini skirt. The vintage longline jacket from Chanel’s 1992 collection featured a Peter Pan collar, gold buttons down the front, two pockets at the hip and a rounded hem. Pairing one iconic luxury brand with another, Petras styled her colorful co-ord with timeless black Christian Louboutin pumps.
The “Unholy” popstar chose a glossy leather model boasting a classic pointed-toe silhouette and a sky-high stiletto heel. The red-lacquered soles that have long been synonymous with Louboutin shoes tied things together, seamlessly complementing the rest of her ensemble. She completed her look with a small, boxy black leather handbag, a gold beaded anklet and a swipe of red lipstick.
Petras, who became the first transgender artist to win a Grammy last year, shared her look on Instagram alongside the caption, “Put your money where your mouth is.” She was dressed up to make an appearance at the New York Stock Exchange as one of the faces of MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam 30th anniversary campaign.
The singer was recently announced as a new celebrity brand ambassador for the popular beauty company. In a new commercial for the Viva Glam lipstick, Petras can be seen posing with the product while sporting towering platform heels.
Scrolling through the “Alone” singer’s Instagram feed, it’s clear she likes to take risks when it comes to footwear. She’s worn lace-up platforms, fuzzy styles, see-through pairs and bold boots.
