Whoopsie, I temporarily forgot the Independent Spirit Awards existed! I would like to officially thank them for no longer scheduling themselves the day before the Oscars — they are happening February 22….the day before the SAGs. Anyway, apparently, if you’re invited to their Nominee Brunch, you will very likely dig around and see if you own any Interesting Trousers or earthtones to wear. Absolutely no jewel tones allowed! Jewel tones are the tool of the studio system!!
