Marion Cotillard attended the César – Révélations 2025 photocall on Monday at the Pavillon Cambon in Paris, and I couldn’t help but feel… underwhelmed.
Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m a die-hard Marion fan. Her style has given us some truly magical red carpet moments over the years. Remember the early Dior Haute Couture era? Goosebumps. But much like Diane Kruger, Marion’s fashion glory days seem to exist in the rearview mirror, leaving us with memories and the occasional hope that she’ll leave us in awe once again.
Sadly, this event wasn’t to be that moment. Sure, it’s a photocall, so I wasn’t expecting a show-stopping ballgown. But her choice of this Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 knit dress with gold embroidery and visible holes was pretty sad to say the least. The sheer factor could have been an edgy twist, but it was overshadowed by how boring the dress is.
I’m not mad about it; I’m just… disappointed. Marion’s style usually dances on the line between chic and daring, but this look was neither. It felt “thrown on at the last minute.”
Fingers crossed she’s saving the wow factor for the main César Awards. Until then, we’ll just have to hang onto those dreamy flashbacks.
