Miss Universe is a pageant held annually by the Miss Universe Organization, which celebrates women’s accomplishments across the world. This year’s event is being held in Mexico City, Mexico. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event. This year hosted 125 contestants from from all over the world. Miss Nicaragua Sheynnis Palacio won last year’s pageant. The top 30 contestants as of now include girls from Egypt, France, India, Cuba, China, Mexico and Finland, among a slew of others. Mario Lopez and Olivia Culpo are this year’s hosts. The event goes down tonight at the Arena Ciudad de México.
