Samira Nasr continues to demonstrate some serious pull as editor-in-chief of American Harper’s Bazaar (in spite of possessing a questionable ability to select the correct cover shot). Bazaar‘s cover subjects throughout 2024 alone have included everyone from Gisele Bündchen and Regina King to Christy Turlington and Winona Ryder. Naomi Campbell is added to the list with the unveiling of the all-important September issue. The British icon of fashion poses for photographer Malick Bodian in the sun-lit cover shot, captured high above the rooftops of Paris, France. Aptly chosen as this year’s “icons” cover star, Naomi is all smiles in the joyous cover photograph. Fresh from the cover of Madame Figaro, Naomi is dressed by Carlos Nazario in an Alaïa halter top and pants, teamed with a pair of Le Monde Béryl kitten heels.
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Infinitely superior to what I expected to see. I kind of love this,” KoV admitted the moment the cover struck.
“Gotta be honest, I was holding my breath [before I saw the cover]. This looks fantastic and nice to see Naomi smiling,” shared justaguy.
“Love it, reminds me of Naomi Campbell’s 90s era,” Urban Stylin noted.
Sharing the same attitude toward Bazaar‘s latest was mepps. “I love that Naomi Campbell is smiling like that, on a cover. Very 90s, I like it,” they approved.
GivenchyAddict, however, was far from convinced. “The overdone face, the haircut, the pose, the trousers looking very heavy, the smile being blocked by a TON of Botox. This is a huge NO!” they exclaimed.
“Naomi Campbell should retire. She’s not on top. It’s the Botox that’s on top of her face,” critiqued Alquimista.
“Girl, Naomi, just stop, STOP. You’re ruining your prestige,” Bertrando3 cried out.
