Are you still looking to put the finishing touches on your fall rotation? The Boston brand is catering an upcoming “Emerging Brown” collection to that concept, comprised of their two lifestyle standouts, the New Balance 9060 and New Balance 2002R.
While the foundation of the New Balance 9060 “Emerging Brown” sticks in familiar territory, pinning off-white suede against pure white accents on the midsole and base mesh layer, the top notes make it a pretty unprecedented layout. A thin stripe of deep brown suede runs across the entire profile, overtaking the “N” branding on either side. Sheer contrast makes this a statement piece, but the earthy palette makes these a sensible option for Fall/Winter.
In contrast, the interplay between cream nubuck and luxe brown suede on the 2002R “Emerging Brown” is easily its standout feature, blending together for a swirling “Latte arrangement at the quarter and through the webbing at the toe. Though those shades are plenty eye-catching, utilizing steely grey on the sock-liner and heel panel ensures trademark New Balance neutrality and everyday wear.
Both the New Balance 2002R and New Balance 9060 “Emerging Brown” release via Champs on November 1st. The 9060 retails at $150, limited to women’s sizing, while the 2002R commands a $145 MSRP in men’s. A wider release via NewBalance.com is currently unknown.
