New Balance’s Fall/Winter Made In USA releases are underway, but across the pond, the Made In UK 991v2 might just be the best thing the brand has going. There’s a Salehe Bembury collaboration and region-exclusive “City Pack” en route, all while applaudable general release pairs stoke even more energy around the still relatively new model. This “Pinecone” colorway is a perfect addition to autumn wardrobes of all distinctions, set to arrive in the near future.
Standard color blocking takes shape here, maintaining focus on the shoe’s premium materials. Buttery brown overlays are matched by an identically-colored base, while the forefoot panels and tongue label opt for grey leather. Reflective New Balance logos complement a reflective backtab, and the rear portion of the midsole lends a vintage feel in off-white.
The New Balance 991v2 “Pinecone” has already cropped up at retailers overseas and is expected to release globally through New Balance channels during the Fall 2024 shopping season. Expect a lofty $250 MSRP, the standard mark for the model.
