The Weibo Awards, also known as Weibo Night, is a glittering celebration of achievement in mainland China, honouring talents across categories like Breakthrough Actors, Most Influential Actress Internationally, and the coveted Weibo King and Queen titles.
This year, Ni Ni, recipient of Weibo’s Role Model Actors of the Year, cemented her style icon status in not one but two custom Gucci gowns that left me breathless.
For the red carpet, Ni Ni was pure elegance in pastel pink. The gown’s crystal Horsebit detail on the neckline was a subtle nod to Gucci’s heritage, but it was the tonal silk chiffon cape with feathers that added a touch of drama. Paired with statement earrings that sparkled like constellations, the ensemble was a masterclass in modern glamour.
Later, as she took the stage to collect her award, Ni Ni delivered yet another show-stopping moment. Her custom Gucci Notte dress—a bustier fringe design dripping in silver beads and sequins—was the kind of look that could only be described as hypnotic. Every movement sent the embellishments dancing under the lights, creating an almost magical effect that made the dress the star of the evening.
Ni Ni ambassadorial relationship with the brand feels like a match made in heaven, and these looks are proof.
Both looks are stunning, but for me, her fringe dress was the highlight of the night—an unforgettable, dazzling triumph.
