Nike Kobe V Supreme “White” Unreleased Sample

depeche23mode‘s archives continue to bear fruit. With a fresh selection of PE, sample and unreleased pairs, the collector’s closet has unleashed some extremely notable slices of history, beginning with a Tinker Jordan 3 UNC PE, an all-black Kobe 5 Supreme sample, and now an all-white edition of that same tooling.

Our coveraged of that murdered-out edition and its selling points remains for the shoe at hand but in broad strokes the same appeal remains. The added ankle height is an early sign of Beaverton tinkering with additional support packages, something that’d eventually dawn with the Kobe 7 Supreme just two years after the (presumed) date of production for this sample.

Notably, it appears to be a more permanent fixture on this Kobe 5 Supreme, coming with adjustable velcro straps for customized fit but nonetheless sewing in to the actual structure. In contrast to that stealthy edition, here the branding hits on the shoe swap from a pearlescent finish to a scaly one, overtaking the Swoosh and the heel cup.

Good news if this pair has really caught your attention or if you consider yourself a Mamba history — the auction for this Kobe 5 Supreme sample is live through Saturday December 28th. Depeche23mode’s “Buy It Now” price is set at $7,770. If the sticker price is out of your range, feel free to window shop via the detailed looks included below.
