The start of the year has been incredible for Nike’s women’s hoops efforts, following up the announcement of the Nike A’One with by assembling their foremost female signees for the Sha’carri Richardson/Juju Watkins/Caitlin Clark Super Bowl Commercial. While signature shoes always make the biggest headlines, don’t sleep on their roster of talent not currently in line for their own model, especially when the product looks as good as the Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 “Jewell Loyd” PE.
If you’re getting a bit of deja vu, don’t worry; this does, in fact, mark the second time the newly-minted Ace is getting this treatment, following up her previous GT Cut 3 PE from 2024. That 2024 edition drew inspiration from Justice, her best friend’s son, proudly stamping smiley faces and a litany of playful details on the hardwood silhouette.
While the two-time champion hasn’t yet explained the process behind this version, the same playful atmosphere remains, with cloudy multi-colored brush strokes essentially coating the complete profile, culminating in the message “Go be great!” stamped on the heel. Fip to the topside view for the special edition touch, a circular insole emblem verifying this as a “Player Exclusive – Not For Resale.”
From Nike’s standpoint, this Jewell Loyd PE continues the reign of the GT Cut 3 as one of their most popular inline shoes, only set to expand with the release of the GT Cut 3 Turbo. Getting Loyd to lace up the shoe would certainly be a splashy way to redouble that effort, but for now, she remains one of the most substantial faces for the silhouette in the W. The Nike Zoom GT Cut 3 “Jewell Loyd” PE is expected to land sometime during the Spring/Summer season. Retail will likely hover around $190.
