I assume all future Crazy Rich Asians movies are dead in the water, because this movie did gangbusters and then we’ve heard NOTHING, and Jon M. Chu decided to make twice as much Wicked as anyone wanted. Having read the other books, I can see why they weren’t sure what to do from here, but… you could just pin them to Astrid. You cast Harry Shum, Jr., for God’s sake, in PREPARATION for this.
