Paloma Faith took the stage on day five of Glastonbury Festival 2024 held on Sunday, June 30, in Glastonbury, Eng.
The “Picking Up the Pieces” songstress wore a pair of clear sandal heels. The see-through but impactful style featured thin and see-through vinyl straps, adjustable gold buckle closures, square toes and clear tapered block heels standing at around 2 to 3 inches in height, offering Faith a subtle boost. The “Lullaby” singer usually pairs her looks with embellished sandals or platform heels.
Clear styles, sandal or otherwise, offer the wearer the illusion of length and height, elongating the legs. The style became extremely popular in the 1990s, having appeared on runways as early as the 1960s, and has remained in fashion all these years later.
No matter the style, clear shoes are often made of PVC or Lucite, giving the sought-after silhouette that innovative and futuristic look. The style was extremely popular with the Kardashians, specifically Kim, however, the style has also been worn by the likes of Drew Barrymore, Kendall Jenner and Simone Biles, among others.
Accompanying her see-through footwear, the “Gold” singer wore a sheer tan and bright red dress designed by Turkish-English fashion designer Dilara Findikoglu. The garment featured a neutral sheer overlay that showed off the voluminous high-neck red layer beneath. The dress featured a high-low skirt, gold clasp closures and strategic pleating and gathering that created a flattering silhouette.
