Director Gia Coppola and actress Pamela Anderson made a stylish appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival photocall for their new film ‘The Last Showgirl’ earlier today.
Photocall: Spring vs. Autumn Florals
At the photocall, both women embraced florals, though their choices couldn’t have been more different.
Gia Coppola opted for a fresh, spring-inspired look, wearing a belted dress from Rodarte adorned with lavender, lilac, and white flowers. The delicate florals combined with the soft hues gave Gia a romantic vibe, perfectly in tune with Rodarte’s ethereal and vintage aesthetic. It felt whimsical, yet not overpowering—exactly the kind of effortless style she often embodies.
Pamela Anderson, on the other hand, took a more autumnal approach with her CH Carolina Herrera A-line dress. The loose-fit silhouette featured a multi-coloured flowery print that exuded a warmer, more grounded feel. While Pamela is often known for her bold and sometimes daring fashion choices, this look was a more laid-back but seasonally appropriate statement. The relaxed fit was unexpected, yet it worked for the photocall’s casual vibe.
Premiere: Glamour with a Twist
For the evening premiere, both women elevated their fashion game. Gia chose an embellished dress from Alessandro Michele’s Valentino Resort 2025 collection, featuring sheer lace inserts and ruffled details. Some might feel this dramatic, embellished look could have hailed from Alessandro Michele’s Gucci days, with its signature eccentricity, even without the addition of the cape.
Pamela, meanwhile, took a more muted route with a pink Elie Saab embellished caped gown from the Resort 2024 collection.
Had I been tasked with dressing these two women, I’d have swapped their looks—Pamela in the bolder gown, Gia in the delicate, quiet cape. But either way, they both made their marks in uniquely different ways.
