On has announced a re-up for its buzziest collaboration to date.
The On x Post Archive Faction “Current Form 2.0” collection will introduce their take on the Cloudventure trail-running sneaker alongside a new “Seedling White” colorway for their Cloudmonster 2. Just like the sneakers released in the spring, PAF’s take on the Cloudventure sees its upper stripped down to the basics with the entirety of the shoe rendered either in monochromatic brown or black.
Both colorways of the Cloudventure can be seen in the campaign images released Wednesday, which essentially serve as a teaser, but the new edition for the Cloudventure has yet to be shown. And while the first collection focused on road running in warm conditions, the follow-up turns its eyes to the trail under the sun or snow.
Dongjoon Lim, founder of Post Archive Faction, said in a press release: “Blurring boundaries between present and future, real and fantastic, PAF is a uniform to provoke change.”
In addition to the sneakers, the second On x PAF collection includes apparel with the Zero Pants and Jacket available in two-tone “Hay” and black color schemes.
To promote the forthcoming capsule, On and PAF are hosting a trail experience Friday, October 18, at Bukhan Mountain on the outskirts of Seoul. There, the public will be invited to set out on a “geo-treasure” hunt to find hidden pieces from the collection.
Post Archive Faction was short-listed for the LVMH prize in 2021 and is heralded for its futuristic technical apparel that often incorporates deconstructed elements. Its debut initiative with On garnered a level of attention from sneakerheads that the Swiss footwear brand hadn’t yet been able to achieve, which may just make PAF On’s most important partner moving forward.
The Post Archive Faction x On Cloudventure and Cloudmonster 2, as well as the accompanying apparel, will release October 24 through On’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing has not yet been announced, but the previous Cloudmonsters 2 commanded $240.
